Spurrin' like a Pro

Holla dear blog readers,

In a few radical spur of the moment decisions, I did a few things. (Is spurring a word? - I just googled, apparently it is).  I took a few days off of work after Thanksgiving, so I had a whole week off (bless everything).  I decided that I was going to do something spontaneous or something out of my comfort zone each and every day.  And 'lo and behold, I actually did it!

Thursday was Thanksgiving day! Yummy food and killer deals. And after all the moaning and groaning, I joined my mom for Black Friday shopping. I bought my self some really nice combat boots, and the rest bought things for the house.  Please see my Black Friday post, for more details on that horrifying experience.

Friday, I COLORED MY HAIR.  To some, that may seem like a normal thing, for me it was not.  I have never colored my hair.  This was a first for me.  I always wanted to get red tips - because that is the coolest thing in the world.  But I decided for my first time, I should calm down and do something that will still be new for me, but nothing too crazy.  So I went and got my hair colored a very light brown/blondish.  I'm working it - i think.

Saturday, I ventured out to the GALLERIA MALL.  For a very-in-my-head person, that was a very scary thing to do.  Go out to the Galleria on one of it's most busiest days.  But I powered through and even purchased a few things from HM.

Sunday, I decided to drive out to Dallas. My sister lives in Dallas, she's usually the one who comes down to visit.  I just felt like getting out - so just picked up my bag and left for a few days.

Monday, I splurged at Kate Spade.  I'm not one to mindlessly spend on bags, but I was there, and their was a sale and so I bought things.

Tuesday, I went to Walmart and ate Chinese food (does this count ? - by the way, this thing keeps telling me I misspelled Walmart - but HOW can one do that.  I'm sure I know how to spell this word!)

Wednesday, I drove back home.  And hit traffic.  and then more traffic. the traffic never ended.  Finally made it home.  AND GUESS WHAT ARRIVED IN THE MAIL.  Cards Against Humanities - oh yes, I made that purchase too.

Here are a few pictures of my week - Oh and somewhere in between all this, I stopped at in&out burger, contemplated getting a job there as they pay $10.50 an hour and give paid vacays and FREE IN&OUT WHENEVER YOU WANT, saw Tyler Oakley in a magazine, bought 15 loaves of bread and fed it to ducks and birds in the park.

Hipster Glasses

I like them, I have worn them, but I can't wear them out.  If that makes any sense.  I feel very intimidated to wear them out.  Like people will judge me for trying a bit to hard to be hipster.  I carry them around and take a picture and strike a pose, but then I put them back into my bag.

I actually used to wear glasses, before I went ahead and got my Lasik eye surgery done.  And let me tell you how amazing it is!! I can see! I wake up and look around and I CAN SEE.  It was really amazing (still is), but I kind of miss wearing glasses.  I liked having a barrier between my eyes and the world.  If that makes any sense.  And I'm digging these nerd glasses.  But they are a bit too much for me to be comfortable wearing them around the whole day.  But here it is - to be daring and taking risks - I will wear them all day sometime this week!

So much easier to share with the Internet, rather then wear them around people....Okay.

Who else will be daring and taking risks this week - what risks?  Share with the world and let us know.  Your risk might (and probably) will be more intimidating and real, but any time you step out of your comfort zone is a big step!

Hair and Bloglovin'

I'm new to this bloging thing, and I was trying to add my blog to bloglovin'.  Apparently the above code needs to be in one of my published posts.  So yeah.

Anyway,  I just bought Big Sexy Hair Powder Play.  It claims to volumize and texturize your hair.  I'm just going to real quick go try this.  *10 volumzing minutes later*  So my hair has added volume in it.  It's not shabang in your face volume, but it looks good.  I have striaght, thin, and flat hair.  For me, this product is pretty great!!  Like it's every day volume (this is how normal hair should look like on a daily bases).  I kind of dont like the texture of the powder itself when put in the hair.  It's like a powder that you sprinkle on the roots and when you massage it in, it becomes liquid.  And then its kind of hard for you to play with your hair.  I'm constantly running my hand through my hair, and this product makes the hair on the roots a bit stiff (?).  But it's all good.  Volume was needed, and volume was given.  I'm a happy camper.
